Proceedings Editors
Proceedings Editors, in most cases, are the conference chair or co-chairs. They are responsible for managing the peer-review process and selecting papers for conference proceedings. Moreover, they are also responsible for providing the contents of the complete proceedings to the journal for final production and preparing other front matters. The key responsibilities of Proceedings Editors are listed below:
Providing with authors guidelines and template files;
Managing the peer-review process, providing a final decision on whether the paper will be accepted or not, selecting papers through the peer-review process, and assuring the quality of proceeding papers;
Ensuring that published proceedings include high-quality scientific work that is of long-term interest and benefit to the scientific community;
Completing the Peer Review Statement, which describes how the papers were peer reviewed;
Preparing front matter materials, including a cover page, foreword, table of contents, other optional front matters, and organizing them within the proceedings;
Sending the manuscript files to the journal.
Proceedings Advisory Board
The Proceedings Advisory Board will provide guidance to the journal Editorial Office regarding journal development strategies and policies. The initial term is for 2 years and entails:
Suggesting conferences that should be contacted for inclusion in the journal;
Making decisions on whether conference proceedings should be added to the journal;
Checking the quality of the conference papers received;
Promoting the journal and increasing its visibility at related academic conferences;
Advising on the journal development.
